Future Projects
The Walsh Legacy is researching our historical buildings and how to get them on the registry. The Walsh Legacy would like to make main street a focal point by cleaning up and painting the old buildings. Volunteers are always needed.
Town Clean-up
The WLF would like to address areas of need in the town of Walsh and ask for volunteers to help clean up junk, mow weeds, and haul off trash. We are organizing a painting project and will need volunteers for that as well.
Historical Buildings
In Janurary our Marketing officer Sarah Steinman attended a meeting with the economic developer of Baca County and the Historical Society from Denver. The meeting was very productive and the Historical Society was excited about Walsh and the prospects. They even took time out of their schedule to visit the town and the various buildings in question. There is going to be a county wide meeting with the Historical Society about assistance to fix old buildings and the meeting will be open forum so bring your ideas. I will post the dates of the meeting.
